While this site is not my favorite in terms of ease of qualifications or payment for time spent, they are a consistent payer and i cash out twice a month via paypal. Be sure your paypal is verified, or your payment will be delayed. Carefully evaluate if the time required for a survey (which is always a low estimate) is worth your time. often times for me, they are not.I require $0.10 a minute, so 10 minutes must be at least $1.00 for me.. You can set your own payment terms and see what the lowest you are willing to work for is.

Quick Apps that make real $$

So the year is winding down and surveys are paying less than they used to. I only made about $3,000 this year, or about $260 a month, which is my lowest year yet. Good thing I've added some other sidelines in. Here are the apps I'm using to generate some quick cash with NO out of pocket fees.

Endorse: This app pays you instantly via paypal for items you probably are already buying at the store. The percentage increases on a few items weekly, and you can earn up to 100% cash back, just for shopping. I make sure to scan all my receipts and I get to donate money to local schools via DonorsChoose.org too. Plus, I've already made over $30 with them. Not bad for a lil over 3 weeks of scanning..

IBotta :Very similar to Endorse, but you can earn more per item by doing mini quizzes. Also has $5 min payout via paypal.

FreeMyApps: this only works if you have access to an android or an iphone and are connected to a network. You download the apps they have selected, play with the app for 30 seconds, and get rewards. you can cash out for a variety of items, but I always choose amazon. Cashed out $15 today via amazon for downloading the apps of the day.

and who could forget Viggle:
I have earned over $455 this year in gift cards from watching tv and checking into shows. Be sure to check out forums that track bonus shows and check into the major shows and rentals possible. I'm fortunate to have DirecTv and get a ton of bonuses that way. There have been some major changes, like constant price increases, but overall, I'm still getting paid to watch tv and have my phone nearby. I then take those gift cards from CVS and coupon crazy to get almost all my personal needs for free, if not cash back.

Its so amazing to know that I get to test out products BEFORE anyone else and I never have to pay a dime. For anyone that has ever tried out a product, you know how the concept works. Because I'm in California, I probably wont be getting free wine, but a wine rebate. Other states are allowed to have free alcohol, CA says no. I got my mints & my lipgloss on my desk, allowing me to smell good and have soft lips after my sammich with onions from Subway. Got some great coupons for the Be.Wines and submitted my rebate, hope to get my money soon, i love rebates.. so silly to have to wait this long though, i wish more companies did rebates via paypal.

Big FAT Ebates Payment!!

Got my Big Fat Ebates payment! This quarters total? $215.60! Grand Total Ebates earnings? $1,066.55. Its completely ridiculous to me that some people shop out there and don't use Ebates. There is no fee, no extra work really on your part, just a simple click through. Have to order from Staples? Click through Ebates and earn 2% cash back, EVEN if you already have a staples account. Have to book a hotel, click through Ebates and earn up to 15% cash back. Want to order those shoes you saw but don't feel like going back to the store, click through Ebates and have them delivered, earn up to 15% cash back. Yes, you have to wait a lil bit for it, but hey, since its free money, what's the harm in waiting. I joined Ebates in 2008, and didn't really use it that often. Now when I have to book rooms for my tech's at work, i earn 3% cash back on top of the rewards my company earns on the amex card. Its free money for me and them!

Lack of Surveys

so far, this year has been my worst ever in doing surveys. Companies have marketed themselves right and are getting people to take surveys for pennies, or sweepstakes entries when they used to pay me for my opinion.  I made under $400 this year and that is what I'm used to making in a single month. I haven't given up, in fact, I"ll never give up, as long as I'm still making money, but sheesh, they are making it more difficult to keep with it. That being said there is still money out there. An extra $400 is nothing to cry about, its free money and well spent. I've also been mystery shopping to pick up the slack and i LOVE that. It has more than made up for my lack of surveys and keeps me going shopping without having to stress about it. They take a bit longer than surveys to pay, but when you think about it, Mystery Shopping is just a survey about your shopping experience, so I should be great at it. I get paid to test drive cars, shop at local stores, eat at restaurants, go to concerts and drink at bars!

Secret Shoppers NEEDED

I have had great luck this year with my secret shopping. I handled a lot of my holiday shopping and even saw some concerts All paid for by someone ELSE! If you can handle waiting 30-60 days to get reimbursed, then secret shopping is a great way to add some extra cash.

You'll hear back from them within 24 hours and then you can begin your shops. Great local electronics retailers and major bars are always on the hunt for shoppers.

Focus Groups Pay more than Surveys

In doing my surveys, there occasionally is a focus group or bulletin board. I LOVE focus groups, they pay better than any survey ever will and there are more and more companies doing them every day. Start with Focus Forward and then join a few others, like Schlessinger  then head over to SlickDeals and find a few more in your specific zip code. Also try FocusGroup which finds them and aggregates them for you. These are occasionally online but more often in person, where you sit and give your opinions, sometimes in small groups, sometimes one-on-one. The ones I've done always have a check or cash waiting for you when you leave and since I monitor and make sure I'm never over $600 with one company, I never get a 1099 at the end of the year.
